Amy Cotton is a native of Hampden, Maine. A graduate of Bangor Christian High School, she obtained her nursing degrees from the University of Maine, Orono and USM campuses. She has devoted most of her 22-year nursing career to improve health care services for older adults and their families. She is currently the Director of Operations and Nurse Practitioner at Rosscare, an affiliate of EMHS. Cotton is a fellow of the National Gerontological Nursing Association. She is completing a fellowship at the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International’s Geriatric Nursing Leadership Academy and is nationally board certified in gerontological nursing. She is active in local community efforts and volunteered on the Board of Directors for United Way of Eastern Maine, the Maine Alzheimer's Chapter, Maine Gerontological Society and the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Cotton is the daughter of Jeanne Everett of Orrington and Ronald and Roberta Everett of Fort Fairfield. She resides in Hampden with her son and husband.
