Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility
Emory University School of Nursing
The Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility, named after former President Jimmy Carter's mother, has as its mission improving the health of vulnerable people worldwide through nursing education, research, practice, and policy. The Lillian Carter Center focuses on enhancing the impact of nursing globally through student academic and service-learning programs and faculty research and projects. The 10th anniversary of the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility placed a spotlight on the contributions public health nurses make locally and abroad. The brochures, reports, banners, and invitations made for the Center’s anniversary amplified the role nurses play in caring for vulnerable populations. The images, stories, and quotes in these materials highlight the impact of public health nurses, which aligns with STTI’s mission and vision.
