Computer-Based Professional Education Technology Award Recipient“Nurses on the Front Line: Preparing for and Responding to Emergencies and Disasters”
The GW Department of Nursing Education NNEPI Project Team
The NNEPI Project Team was directed by Jean E. Johnson, PhD, FAAN, senior associate dean for health sciences at The George Washington University (GW), and Ellen M. Dawson, PhD, ANP, chairwoman of the GWU Department of Nursing Education. The NNEPI project manager was Kimberly D. Acquaviva, PhD, MSW, assistant professor in the GWU Department of Nursing Education and director of The National Collaborative on Aging. Laurie J. Posey, director of Instructional Technology for the GWU Health Sciences Programs, served as the senior instructional designer. Karin Hannah Stern of Take One Digital Media served as the creative director/programmer. Subject matter expert review panels were led by The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) under the direction of Joan Stanley, PhD, RN, CRNP, FAAN, and Kitty Werner, MPA, respectively. In total, more than 70 educators, subject matter experts, instructional designers, actors, producers, programmers, special effects make-up artists, grips, sound directors, script writers and narrators collaborated on the development of the NNEPI online course.
