Chapter Community Building Award Recipient Nu Chapter

In 2008, Nu Chapter celebrated its 50th Anniversary. We conducted our anniversary luncheon honoring the legacy of our first president, Dr. Margaret Millsap, a pioneer of nursing in the state. An award was established in her name with donations of over $10,000. Charter members and 10 past presidents attended. Karen Morin, Nu member and President-elect of STTI, brought greetings from the international organization. In October we hosted a Region 8 Conference and initiated a board of new inductee representatives from each chapter. It was a grand year—building our chapter’s historical roots and its wings for the future!
