Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN), funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation addresses the challenge of preparing nurses with the competencies necessary to continuously improve the quality and safety of the health care systems in which they work. The overall goal of www.qsen.org is to provide a robust Web source (launched in April 2007) to serve as a comprehensive resource for quality and safety education for nurses. Since 1 April 2008, the site has rapidly approached 2 million hits (1,763,233) across 40 countries, with an average of 307 sessions per day and over 1,400 page views per day. The Web site was developed by the QSEN Team in collaboration with the QSEN Faculty and Steering Committee. The QSEN team is located in Chapel Hill, N.C., at the UNC School of Nursing.
