Geralyn FrandsenGeralyn Frandsen EdD, RN - Dr. Frandsen has been a nurse educator for 22 years, and coordinator of the masters in nursing education and gerontology certificate program.  She has a Doctorate in high education and leadership with expertise in the areas of curriculum development, teaching strategies, and measurement and evaluation. Dr. Frandsen also has experience in writing NCLEX style questions and pharmacology chapters.  Her doctoral project examined the mentor roles of nurse educators in the quest for promotion and tenure.  She has a passionate interest in educating undergraduate and graduate students in the care of the patient and family at the end of life.  She has also engaged in research in the area of team teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level.  Dr. Frandsen currently serves on the Sigma Theta Tau International Governance Committee and is the chair of the Charter Review Task Force.

Suzanne PrevostSuzanne Prevost RN, PhD, COI - Dr. Suzanne Prevost is currently the Associate Dean for Practice and Community Engagement at the University Of Kentucky College Of Nursing. As a nursing professor, she also teaches in the college’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program.  From 1998-2008, she held the National HealthCare Chair in Gerontological Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University.  Dr. Prevost also has experience as a critical care staff nurse, clinical nurse specialist, nursing administrator, and clinical nurse researcher.  She received her RN Diploma from SouthSide Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh and her BSN from Villa Maria College in Erie, Pennsylvania. She holds a MSN in Adult Health from the Medical University of South Carolina, and a PhD in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University.  She has also completed a Hartford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in gerontological nursing funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  Dr. Prevost is a certified online instructor (COI) and a certified trainer with both the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) and the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC).  Her research focuses on the development and implementation of tools to identify terminal nursing home residents and improve end-of-life care in nursing homes.  In 2008, she received the National Research Abstract Award from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Dr. Prevost has served two terms as the secretary of Sigma Theta Tau International; and she is the consulting editor for the journal Nursing Clinics of North America.
