Janice Unruh Davidson PhD, INS, APRN, FNP-BC, NEA-BC, FAANP - Dr. Janice Unruh Davidson is director of Research and Informatics for Institutional Research Management Associates (IRMA®) and owner of a private consulting company. Dr. Davidson has blended her expertise as a nationally board certified nurse informaticist, nurse executive and nurse practitioner to enhance advanced nursing practice. She has been recognized with awards for outstanding institutional service, national teaching excellence, quality curriculum consulting for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (QNONPF), and has served as a national accreditation visitor for CCNE and NLNAC. She holds 30 years of nursing practice experience including 18 years of higher education experience, having earned tenure at all three institutions where she served during those years in nursing administrative roles, and 12 years of advanced practice experience. Dr. Davidson provides STTI Career Advisor mentoring in the areas of Evidence-Based Practice, Research Methods/Statistics, and Informatics. In 2006, she was named the first Nurse Researcher of the Year by MNA at its Inaugural Mississippi Nightingale Awards Gala and was selected in 2004 as a Fellow of the AACN Executive Academic Leadership Program. In 2001, Dr. Davidson became recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), and serves on the editorial board of JAANP.
Maureen Greene RN, MS, CNS-BC, ACNP-BC, PhDc - Currently practicing as an advanced practice nurse, acute care nurse practitioner/CNS in the care of complex intensive care patients and families. Possesses prescriptive authority in providing diagnostic, treatment and protocol order management for quality outcomes. Hospital co-chair for the Institute for Health Care Improvement Critical Care Mortality team seeking protocol driven care quality outcomes, reporting, presentation and publication of benchmarking. Holds the Nursing Research Coordinator position for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-St. Joseph and is co-chair for the system internal review board (IRB). Interests lie in professional nursing development through precepting/mentoring for evidence based practice/research care delivery in complex health care systems. Research interests and publication in care transitions, discharge readiness and the role of the multi-disciplinary nursing team including nursing case management in facilitating discharge planning and positive discharge outcomes for patient/family and health care systems.
