Cheryl Lehman PhD, RN, CRRN-A - Cheryl Lehman PhD RN CNS, Associate Professor/Clinical, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Lehman has been an RN for 30 years, and a Clinical Nurse Specialist for 14 of those years. Her clinical interests and experience include medical-surgical, geriatric and rehabilitation nursing. Dr. Lehman began her career with a diploma in nursing, and completed a doctor of philosophy degree in 2005 in Preventive Medicine and Community Health, with a focus in rehabilitation science. She has taught master’s level courses for the past two years at UTHSCSA, a university she joined in 2007 after 16 years in the hospitals at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Lehman’s current research interests include examination of the success of community reentry of civilian contract workers and military service members who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Rehabilitation Nursing, and serves on the manuscript review panel of the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing.
