Marion BroomeMarion Broome PhD, RN, FAAN - Marion E. Broome. Dean and Distinguished Professor at Indiana University School of Nursing and Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Clarian Health Partners. She has been editor-in-chief of Nursing Outlook, the official journal of the American Academy of Nursing, since 2003. Over the past 30 years Dr. Broome has taught in BSN, MSN and PhD programs in nursing at the Medical College of Georgia, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Rush University in Chicago and University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her areas of expertise include children in pain, intervention research, research ethics related to children in research, leadership development, grant writing and writing for publication. Her research has been funded by NIH, the American Cancer Society and Pfizer, Inc. Dr. Broome has published over 85 articles, chapters and books, primarily in the area of pediatric and research. Dr. Broome serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the National Institute of Nursing Research at NIH and is a research consultant for several hospitals in Indiana. As a member of STTI she serves as a faculty member for the STTI Maternal0Child Nursing Leadership Academy, is a member of the STTI President’s CNO/Dean’s Advisory Committee and serves on the STTI Foundation Board of Directors.

Marita Hoffart RN, BSN, MS

Carole Kenner DNS, RNC-NIC, FAAN - Carole Kenner, DNS, RNC-NIC, FAAN has over 30 years of neonatal/perinatal/pediatric experience.  She has taught for 25 years, developed master’s level programs in the United States and abroad and has lectured in over 20 countries. Dr. Kenner is the author/editor of many textbooks and book chapters, two of which have been translated into other languages.  Since 2005, Dr. Kenner has been the President of the Council of International Neonatal Nurses. Currently she serves as a member of the National Nurse Advisory Council for the March of Dimes and is Chair of the Institute for Oklahoma Nursing Education (IONE) and on the American Academy of Nursing Committee Nursing Education of the Workforce. She has been a department head, an associate dean with multiple campuses, a dean, and a director of World Health Organization Affiliate Collaborating Centers.  She teaches online and has had oversight of IT.

Betsy McDowellBetsy L. McDowell PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE - Betsy M. McDowell, PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE, Professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing at Newberry College in Newberry, SC. Dr. McDowell has been a pediatric nurse and nurse educator for over 35 years. She has been certified as a critical care nurse for 31 years, including certification as a pediatric critical care nurse since 1992. Dr. McDowell has taught in undergraduate nursing programs as well as selected courses on the graduate level. She has published articles on pediatric and/or critical care nursing, nursing education, preparing for the NCLEX, and the Neuman Systems Model (NSM). Dr. McDowell is on the editorial board or the manuscript review panel for three professional nursing journals. She is a trustee of the NSM and chair of the abstract review committee. Dr. McDowell has held several positions in the Mu Zeta Chapter and currently serves as treasurer, abstract review committee chair, and chapter delegate to STTI. She was a mentor in the 2006-07 Maternal-Child Leadership Academy and currently is a collateral reviewer and an awards judge for Sigma Theta Tau International.
