Associate Dean of Graduate Studies

Davenport University seeks applications for an Associate Dean of Graduate Studies within our School of Health Professions at our downtown Grand Rapids, MI location. This challenging role provides leadership within a school to ensure the achievement of the University’s strategic goals.  Under the direction of the School Dean, the Associate Dean maintains oversight of assigned academic programs and their regulatory requirements, leads school initiatives, and develops new graduate programs based upon a systematic evaluation of planning data. The Associate Dean prepares and submits documentation related to the accreditation of new graduate programs in health, directs all aspects of academic program management while collaborating with academic and operational members of the University, maintains a visible role in the hiring, development and evaluation of faculty in addition to teaching 12 credit hours per year.

Degreed programs at Davenport University are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The School of Health Professions at Davenport University offers diploma in practical nursing, associates' and BSN-RN completion programs all of which are accredited by the National League for Nursing (www.nlnac.org).  Over 92% of our nursing students pass the RN exam on the first try, higher than state and national averages.
