Davenport University seeks applications for an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing at our downtown Grand Rapids, MI location. The Associate Dean provides system leadership within the school to ensure the achievement of the University’s strategic goals, National Nursing Accreditation and compliance with the Michigan Board of Nursing Education and other University Regulations.  Under the direction of the School Dean, the Associate Dean assists in hiring program directors and faculty, maintains oversight of assigned academic programs and school initiatives. In addition, the Associate Dean maintains a visible role in the hiring, development and evaluation of nursing program directors, clinical coordinators, lab coordinators, and full-time faculty and administrative work-study students. The Associate Dean directs all aspects of academic program management to include:  new program development; program and course revision; internal communication, marketing and training; accreditation activities; program assessment; compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations.

Degreed programs at Davenport University are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The School of Health Professions at Davenport University offers diploma in practical nursing, associates' and BSN-RN completion programs all of which are accredited by the National League for Nursing (www.nlnac.org).  Over 92% of our nursing students pass the RN exam on the first try, higher than state and national averages.
