Adult Health and/or Primary Care
James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for one faculty position with an adult health (acute and/or primary care) focus to begin August 2008 in the Department of Nursing, which offers CCNE accredited baccalaureate and master¹s programs. JMU is a comprehensive state university offering 61 undergraduate and 26 master¹s programs to more than 16,000 students. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Classroom and practicum teaching at BSN and possibly MSN program levels.
- Professional, departmental, and University Service Scholarship.
- 9/10-month tenure track position at rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (with doctorate).
- 9/10-month rotating term clinical appointment at Lecturer or Instructor rank for faculty with MSN as terminal degree.
- Qualifications: Three or more years of clinical practice experience.
- Doctorate and certification in area of specialty strongly preferred.
- Special consideration given to candidates with experience as nurse educators.
- Expertise using instructional technology preferred.
- RN registration and eligibility for Virginia license are required.
