Associate Dean for Graduate Programs
Marquette University 

Marquette University College of Nursing seeks applications for the position of Associate Dean for Graduate Programs.

Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, WI, is a Catholic, Jesuit University with a commitment to faith, excellence, leadership, and service. MU offers CCNE accredited baccalaureate and graduate degrees in nursing, including the MSN, DNP, and PhD.  We offer graduate specializations in Nurse-Midwifery, Children and Families, Adult, Acute Care, Older Adult, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Health Care Systems Leadership. The PhD program prepares teacher-scholars with an emphasis on vulnerable populations. The College currently has over 600 students and more than 50 full and part-time faculty members.  Faculty typically generate more than $1 million in extramural funding annually.

The Associate Dean oversees all Graduate Nursing Programs, graduate faculty, graduate support systems, and graduate students.  He/she provides leadership which supports the College and the Graduate School's role within the University mission.

Required: doctorate degree, preferably in nursing; meets criteria for senior rank appointment; significant college-level teaching experience; experience teaching graduate students or other adult learners; successful experience as a leader of a program, unit, or division level; five years of recent progressively responsible administrative experience in graduate education; ability to work with faculty to bring about program and organizational change; strong leadership abilities working with a diverse population of students, staff, administrators, and faculty; and demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
