Nurse Leader Recruitment Task Force Member
Qualifications:
- Be an active member of the chapter
- Consent to serve in the position
Create a team of volunteers and divide up the work into smaller pieces. Members are more likely to volunteer for a specific task with a short time frame, rather than sign up for a one or two year commitment as chairperson. Set up your nurse leader campaign so that it can be driven by task forces. For example:
- Recruitment task force - for one month, they are responsible for generating for the chapter as many names as possible for potential candidates' list
- Invitation task force - working with the eligibility committee, this group is responsible for extending an invitation to candidates, and following through on the invitation to join over the course of one month
- Welcome task force - once the candidates have accepted, this group is responsible for welcoming them to the chapter, orienting them during their first few months of membership.
