Archives are a collection of historical records and items, as well as the location where these documents and items are stored. Archives contain document and items from the chapter's history that preserve the cultural, historical and evidentiary value of the chapter.
Archiving is a way for chapter's to maintain a the historical knowledge of the chapter. Archived items may include, but are not limited to:
- Chapter awards & recognition materials
- Chapter bylaws
- Chapter communications
- Committee correspondence
- Financial records
- Induction and event programs
- Officer records
- Records of bequests, annuities and endowments
