Chapter Development
Chapters are the foundation of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Everything begins with the chapter, and strong chapters lead to a strong organization. Currently there are 463 Sigma Theta Tau International chapters across the world in 22 different countries. Chapters are independent, autonomous organizations affiliated with the honor society, and are organized divisions of nurse scholars and leaders that have met all of the requirements for establishment and have been granted a charter in accordance with the procedures required by the honor society.
The first step in chapter development is deciding how to organize your chapter; you can establish a chapter by starting a chapter at your institution of higher education, starting a chapter with other institutions of higher education, or joining an existing chapter.
