Overview:

This unit consists of 10 modules and provides a review of body systems. Each module will consist of reading, lesson, and case studies. Instructions are provided within each module. Have fun reviewing!

Objectives:

Upon completion of this content, the learner will:

  1. Identify the basic anatomy and physiology of selected systems within the human body.

  2. Identify the nursing assessment, signs and symptoms, and nursing implications for common disorders associated with the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, reproductive, musculoskeletal, neurological, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and immune systems.

  3. Identify appropriate nursing assessment and management of acute and chronic pain.

  4. Identify at least 3 common occurring infectious diseases and the role of the nurse in prevention and management of infectious disease.
