Silent auction
Thanks to donations received and active bidding by guests,
the foundation raised more than US $3,000. Hot items included Image journal covers
autographed by Martha E. Rogers, RN, Sc.D, FAAN, and Rozella M.
Schlotfeldt, RN, PhD, FAAN, and a purse made from ties that
past President Dan Pesut
had worn during his tenure. Karen
Morin won the handmade purse the night before her
election as president-elect.

Foundation
news
The start of the 40th biennium
brings many changes to the foundation board. We want to thank
former chair Nancy Ridenour
for her leadership during her term. We wish her the best in her new
position as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow with the Institute of Medicine. We also want to extend
our gratitude to former Secretary Melodie Daniels, who has
concluded eight years of service on the board as the
Fellowship Committee chair and Lola Fehr, who has completed a two-year term on
the board. Visit the Web site to see the new Foundation Board.
The Nancy Dickenson-Hazard Celebration of Leadership Garden
The paver garden located at headquarters
in Indianapolis
has been named in honor of former Sigma Theta Tau International
CEO and Virginia Henderson and Billye Brown Fellow Nancy
Dickenson-Hazard. A fundraising dinner
held during the 39th Biennial Convention and outright gifts generated
more than US $155,000 for leadership, resulting in the official re-naming
of the garden to The Nancy Dickenson-Hazard
Celebration of Leadership Garden.
