Virginia Henderson Fellows (VHF)

VHF LogoThe VHF program is named for Virginia Avenel Henderson (1897-1996), considered the foremost American nurse of the 20th century and recognized internationally for her influence on nursing practice, education and research. In 1993, eight visionary nurse philanthropists became the first Virginia Henderson Fellows. Today, the group is more than 340 strong. These fellows are recognized for cash gifts of US $10,000.

Luz Porter demonstrates her commitment to nursing scholarship, research and the advancement of the science as a Virginia Henderson Fellow. Together with other Fellows and Foundation donors she is making a difference in the health of people around the world.
