Coaching expert shows health care professionals how to lead with valor
Author’s four steps lead to sustainable success

INDIANAPOLIS — The theory of transformational leadership has been widely adopted in nursing, based on extensive research suggesting that its benefits are significant (International Journal of Nursing Studies, 2010).* Now, one of the top leadership experts in health care shows those in the nursing profession how to lead with valor.

Catherine Robinson-Walker, MBA, MCC, provides a proven approach for those at all levels of management to grow into successful, resilient leaders who are capable of effectively addressing the most pressing problems. In her new book Leading Valiantly in Healthcare: Four Steps to Sustainable Success, published by the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), Robinson-Walker uses examples inspired by real-life experiences and her extensive coaching knowledge to teach readers how to transform themselves and their personal leadership styles to inspire others and lead with character and grace.

President of The Leadership Studio and designated a master certified coach by the International Coaching Federation, Robinson-Walker has advised such clients as the National Cancer Institute, Kaiser Permanente, Inc., and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.

Using questions, answers, vignettes, and practices, this book provides readers with the tools they need to implement Robinson-Walker’s model of leadership valor in their daily practice.
