STTI to host international research and leadership events
The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International opens online registration
for International Nursing Research Congress and Leadership Forum
Indianapolis – The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) has opened online registration for two events: the 23rd International Nursing Research Congress and its first-ever Leadership Forum.
The 23rd International Nursing Research Congress will be in Brisbane, Australia, 30 July–3 August 2012. Online registration is open through 27 June 2012, with an early registration discount available to attendees who register by 23 May 2012.
Attendees will benefit from presentations on industry-leading nursing research and have the opportunity to network with international attendees around the platform topic: “Creating a Legacy through Nursing Research, Innovation and Global Collaboration.”
Keynote speakers include:
- Tracey McDonald, PhD, MSc (Hons), BHA, DipNEd, RN, CM, FCN (NSW), FRCNA, endowed research chair in ageing at the Australian Catholic University. McDonald will present on the importance of delivering high standards of care in the midst of changing environments and heightened community expectations.
- Rhonda Griffiths, DrPH, MSc (Hons), BEd (Nurs), RN, CM, head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Western Sydney, will present on the translation of research into practice.
Other events include the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame induction, concurrent sessions, a pre-Congress workshop and poster presentations.
The Royal College of Nursing, Australia is the Diamond Partner for the event.
Online registration is also open for the Leadership Forum hosted in Indianapolis, Ind., USA, 20–22 September 2012. Registration is open through 22 August 2012, but attendees can take advantage of the early registration discount by registering before 18 July 2012.
The Leadership Forum will host hundreds of nurse leaders from around the globe for three full days of educational programing with two main events. One event is focused on general nurse leadership and the other is focused on chapter leadership. Both will include plenary and concurrent sessions, poster sessions, STTI info fair, exhibitors and networking opportunities.
