What Is #GivingTuesday and Why Should You Participate?
This year on 2 December, the Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation for Nursing and more than 10,000 partnering organizations from 46 countries will participate in the third annual #GivingTuesday — a global day dedicated to giving back.
When you receive the #GivingTuesday message from the Foundation, I encourage each of you to express your gratitude by making a donation and supporting the presidential call to action. Your generosity will make it possible to provide more research grants, leadership education grants to attend educational conferences, membership subsidies, and support for initiatives that help nurses around the world.

STTI Is Working Hard to Serve You Better

The STTI family of websites will be down for system maintenance from 5:00 p.m. EST Friday, 7 November through 8:00 a.m. EST Monday, 10 November. This important upgrade will help us better meet your membership needs. We are sorry for any inconvenience this temporary outage may cause.

Call for Volunteer Leaders
STTI offers members a variety of ways to serve at chapter, regional, and international levels. As we approach the 43rd Biennial Convention in 2015, the Leadership Succession Committee is soliciting nominations for the following organization leadership positions.
• Board positions:
      Vice president
• Governance Committee
• Leadership Succession
• Regional Chapters
  Coordinating Committee chair
• Regional chapter coordinators
If you have ever thought about putting your skills and energy to use serving STTI in a leadership position, please consider self-nominating for one of these important roles. If you know someone whose leadership would benefit the organization, please feel free to share this with a fellow member. Learn more about the Leadership Succession Committee.

Sigma Theta Tau International is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
