Opening Plenary Presentation by STTI President

 Carol J. Huston The 27th President of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), Carol J. Huston, RN, MSN, DPA, FAAN, will be delivering her state of the society address as the opening plenary presentation for the 40th Biennial Convention.

Dr. Huston’s presidential call to action, Leading Globally, spotlights four key themes: being intentionally global; continuing to build our knowledge resources; developing the leadership skills of our membership further; and creating a greater emphasis on providing service. Her opening address will emphasize how her call has been put into action. 
 

Plenary III Presentation by Award-Winning Author Greg Mortenson  

 Greg Mortenson

Greg Mortenson is the founder of nonprofit Central Asia Institute, Pennies For Peace and co-author of New York Times bestseller Three Cups of Tea (www.threecupsoftea.com), which has been a number one New York Times bestseller since its January 2007 release, and was Time Magazine Asia Book of The Year.

As of October 2008, Three Cups of Tea, has sold over 2 million copies, and been adopted by more than 55 university and college campuses as a Freshman Read.

Plenary IV Presentation by Episteme Laureate 
The presentation will be conducted by the 2007-2009 International Episteme Laureate Award recipient. The Episteme Award has been sponsored by The Baxter International Foundation since 1989. More information coming soon!
