General Information
- Registration fees include official programmed events and printed final program.
- Five-day and daily registration packages do not include luncheon events, Founders Awards Celebration, Tribute Awards event, Speed Connect Networking event, pre-convention workshop or Fitness for Research event(s).
- Student discount applies only to full-time students. Student ID may be required onsite at registration.
- Member rate applies only to active honor society members who paid membership dues for the 2008-09 year.
- Those who register after 14 October 2009 will not be included in the conference directory.
Meal Events
Take advantage of this opportunity to meet new colleagues from around the world. All meal attendees will be assigned to tables. If you purchase a single ticket, you will be assigned randomly to a table. If you want to sit with friends or colleagues, you can:
- Buy a table. You and nine others will be guaranteed seats together. Be sure to let those who will sit with you know so they do not buy individual tickets as meal tickets are non-refundable after 16 September 2009, or
- Have one member of your group buy tickets for the entire group. Be sure to check with your group to ensure that duplicate tickets are not purchased as refunds are unable to be given for duplicate tickets after 16 September 2009.
Payment
- Payment must be received in United States dollars.
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover and checks are accepted.
- All checks must be made payable to Sigma Theta Tau International.
- Registration will not be processed until full payment is received.
- Checks must be postmarked by the applicable registration deadline to receive any discounted rates.

Cancellation
- All cancellations must be received in writing (letter or e-mail).
- Cancellation requests received prior to 16 September 2009 will be charged an administrative fee of US $75.00 per individual registration.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 16 September 2009.
International Attendees
New regulations require international travelers to the U.S. from countries in the Visa Waiver Program to apply for entry online as part of the new Electronic System for Travel Authorization. The program does not apply to travelers entering by land from Canada or Mexico. The authorization is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. Authorization does not guarantee entry into the U.S.; that decision rests with the immigration official at the port of entry. Visit https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta to apply for entry. Participants Requiring a Company-Stamped Confirmation
For participants from countries requiring the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International ink stamp, please provide a copy of your registration confirmation to any staff member at onsite registration in Indianapolis.
Visa Letter Requests
Do you need a letter confirming your convention registration to help facilitate your efforts in obtaining a visa? If so, we can provide a confirmation letter once you have registered for the convention and after the payment has been processed. Once you meet these two specifications, please e-mail the honor society with your full name and registration confirmation ID number. Please indicate if you are also a presenter. Once your information is verified, you will be e-mailed the confirmation letter for your visa application. It will take no more than 10 business days to process your request. Requests for confirmation letters must be submitted by Monday, 5 October 2009. Requests for mailed letters will be reviewed, and additional fees may apply. The confirmation letter does not guarantee you will receive a visa. Confirmation letters will only state the conference title, dates, location, payment confirmation of registration fees and that you are a presenter if applicable. If you are denied a visa, we will provide you a full refund so long as we are notified by Friday, 30 October 2009. Attendees are advised to apply for a visa as early as possible.
