Volunteer Opportunities

Abstract/Grant Peer Reviewer

Assists STTI by reviewing submissions for the International Nursing Research Congress, Biennial Convention and Small Grants Program.

What you will do

  • Review submissions online to determine if they meet the guidelines

Your commitment

  • Reviewers are assigned to two-year terms.
  • Abstract reviewers are needed approximately five times during their term. Each review includes an average of 20 submissions (each 300 words or less). Reviews are based on the number of submissions and reviewer expertise.
  • Grant reviewers are needed approximately 10 times during their term. Each review includes about five submissions. Reviews are based on the number of submissions and reviewer expertise.

Acceptance criteria

  • Abstract reviewers
    • STTI membership
    • Earned doctorate
    • Presentation at a peer-reviewed, regional/national/international meeting
  • Grant reviewers
    • STTI membership
    • Earned doctorate
    • Completion of at least one postdoctoral research activity involving submission of proposals for peer review for internal/external funding
