Futures Advisory Council
Provides advice, informed opinion and recommendations as appropriate on current and future issues for use by the board in its direction setting, stakeholder analysis, policy setting and governance evaluation work.

What you will do
- Evaluate the honor society’s current strategic plan
- Create an updated strategic plan with recommendations regarding modification of the plan through 2008
- Create principles, practices and guidelines for futures planning work that address ongoing assessment and evaluation of the strategic plan by the board of directors
- Develop recommendations regarding alignment of futures planning efforts among international and subsidiary corporations
- Develop recommendations regarding futures planning policies
- Evaluate the council’s structure, process and outcomes
Your commitment
- Council members are invited and appointed by the board of directors for a term through the close of the biennium unless reappointed.
- Participate in three (3) to four (4) telephone conference calls annually.
- Attend one face-to-face meeting.
Acceptance criteria
- Active membership in the honor society
- Working knowledge of the honor society Strategic Plan 2005, vision and mission
- Experience in futures or strategic planning
