Research/Scholarship Advisory Council
Provides advice, informed opinion and recommendations as appropriate on current and future issues for use by the board of directors in its direction setting, stakeholder analysis, policy setting and governance evaluation work.

What you will do
- Create an honor society scholarship/research agenda that encompasses development, dissemination and use
- Create a position statement on the honor society’s scholarship/research agenda that includes identified global priorities for nursing research and the impact of the agenda on stakeholders
- Create principles, practices and guidelines to determine establishment or termination of joint/collaborative research efforts
- Provide recommendations regarding the creation, or adoption, of policies to support the proposed global nursing research agenda
- Provide recommendations regarding resources and strategies that fund, translate and disseminate nursing research
Your commitment
- Members are appointed for a term of two years.
- Terms can be renewed for up to six consecutive years.
- Attend telephone conference calls with council once a month, or once every two months, depending on the workload.
- Participate in smaller work groups as needed.
Acceptance criteria
- Members are appointed by the board of directors.
