Suggestions on how members and chapters can provide service.

Members

• Visit the honor society’s Web site for additional information about member benefits, services and resources.
  
  
• Actively engage in chapter life at the local, regional or international level by signing up on the honor society Volunteer Interest Profile.
  
  
• Assist with chapter events such as memory walks, induction, programs and fund-raising activities.
  
  
• Become an Archival Resource Consultant to help members and chapters in your region develop, manage and utilize archival chapter collections.
  
  
• Serve as a judge for the honor society’s regional or international awards programs.
  
  
• Volunteer or contribute to your favorite cause.
  
  
• Explore and engage in a cross cultural practice, faculty or student exchange.

Chapters

• Adopt a local nursing home or home for the elderly for a special holiday.
  
  
• Complete disaster preparedness training with the International Red Cross or similar organization and volunteer for a response team.
  
  
• Sponsor health fairs or help at immunization clinics at local malls, parks or community centers.
  
  
• Join the 2007-2008 honor society Member-get-a-Member Campaign.
  
  
• Collaborate with other local health care organizations during National Nurses' Week to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions made by nurses.
  
  
• Submit nominations for the chapter awards, which recognize outstanding service contributions of members.
  
  
• Host an honor society foundation cultivation event to encourage philanthropy among chapter members and to contribute to the Edith Anderson Member Subsidy Fund or the Foundation Leadership Fund.
