Regional Chapters Coordinating Committee

Purpose:

The Regional Chapters Coordinating Committee shall facilitiate the work of the chapter leaders by advancing initiatives that meet the needs of the chapters and fulfill the mission of the society.

Expected Outcomes:

1. Serve as a strategic resource for chapter leaders so that strategic directions and biennial goals are realized.
2. Foster connections between chapters within each region and between regions.
3. Inform each other and the board about local and regional activities and issues.
4. Solicit chapter input regarding criteria for and use of a Speaker’s Bureau.
5. Identify and implement chapter strategies to support the 2010 International Year of the Nurse.
6. Explore strategies to assist developing honor societies.
7. Work with chapters to identify exemplars of welcoming environment activities.
8. Collaborate with the Governance Committee regarding member and resource needs.
