CNO-Dean Advisory Council
Purpose:
Given that chief nursing officers and nursing school deans have a stake in each other’s success, develop strategies designed to optimize how they may work together in learning communities and demonstrate their collective commitment to globally advancing the profession and the discipline of nursing.
Expected Outcomes:
- Timeline/agreement completing the work of the council and submitting recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Submissions compiled, organized and shared within a new global learning community.
- Strategies designed to overcome identified obstacles/challenges.
- Revised and/or newly created relevant strategies incorporated into STTI’s 2008-09 fiscal year.
- Statement defining the honor society’s role in bringing deans and chief nursing officers together.
- Written report including suggested strategies/recommendations to STTI Board of Directors by January 2009.
