The Chapter Key Award, established in 1991, honors STTI chapters that excel in chapter-related activities such as:  

  • Membership recruitment and retention
  • Publicity and programming
  • Professional and leadership development
  • Local, national, and international collaboration

Chapter Key Award Time-frame

2015 Award Cycle
The call for 2015 submissions closed on 15 July. Chapters were recognized at the 43rd Biennial Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., USA on Monday, 9 November. Click here to view the listing of the 2015 Chapter Key Award recipients.

2017 Award Cycle 
Submissions for the 2017 Chapter Key Award will include information about chapter activities from 1 July 2015 - 30 June 2017Chapters are encouraged to work throughout the biennium to prepare their entries. The 2017 Chapter Key Award Application is now available in the All Chapter Officers Workgroup on The Circle. Please click here to access the application.

Award Presentation

The Chapter Key Award is presented on a biennial basis at the STTI convention. One chapter representative will be allowed to accept the award on behalf of the chapter. The accepting representative must have a paid registration for at least one day of the chapter awards' ceremony. Chapter Key Award recipients do not receive any complimentary registrations for the biennial convention. The chapter will be asked to provide the name of that representative when it is notified that it is an award recipient.
