2015 International Awards for Nursing Excellence
The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International
announces the Hester C. Klopper Global Health Award
 
INDIANAPOLIS — The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) is seeking nominations for the 2015 International Awards for Nursing Excellence, including the new Hester C. Klopper Global Health Award.
 
Recognizing achievements in the fields of technology, media, chapter excellence, research, leadership, and practice, these awards support the honor society’s mission of advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Award recipients will be honored during STTI’s 43nd Biennial Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., USA, on 7-11 November 2015. 
 
STTI will accept nominations 1 November 2014 through 4 March 2015 (unless otherwise stated), and encourages nominations from STTI members, non-members, groups, organizations, and clinical agencies. Self-nominations are accepted. Entry fees are set according to World Bank classifications based on per capita income. Nominations must be submitted online.
 
New award for 2015: The Hester C. Klopper Global Health Award
The Hester C. Klopper Global Health Award recognizes STTI chapters or institutions of higher learning or practice where STTI active members are engaged in undertaking projects that address global health disparities.
There are 34 International Awards for Nursing Excellence, including:
• Amy J. Berman Geriatric Nursing Leadership Award
• Audrey Hepburn Award for Contributions to the Health and Welfare of Children
• Best Practice in Technology Award
• The Capstone International Nursing Book Award
• Chapter Awards 
• Chapter Key Award (deadline 15 July 2015)
• Clinical Partnership Award
• Daniel J. Pesut Spirit of Renewal Award
• Episteme Award
• Evidence-Based Practice Award
• Founders Awards
• Helen Henry Excellence of Care Award
• Hester C. Klopper Global Health Award
• Honorary Membership (deadline 1 January 2015)
• International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame (deadline 10 December 2014)
• Media Awards
• Melanie C. Dreher Outstanding Dean Award for Excellence in Chapter Support
• New Member Pillar Award
• Practice Academe Innovative Collaboration Award

• Virginia K. Saba Nursing Informatics Leadership Award
