The American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC) and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) are pleased to again invite Magnet®-designated hospitals and those on the Magnet® journey to present a peer-reviewed poster during STTI’s 44th Biennial Convention as part of the “Showcase of Magnet® Hospital Research and Evidence-Based Practice” program. Posters may address one or more of the 5 Model Components, including sources of evidence, which are core to the Magnet® structure: Transformational Leadership; Structural Empowerment; Exemplary Professional Practice; New Knowledge, Innovation, and Improvements; and Empirical Quality Results or Global Issues in Nursing and Healthcare.

The goal of conducting this poster display is to showcase the superior work being done in the clinical setting by those hospitals who have gained Magnet® status or are on the Magnet® journey. This is a unique opportunity for hospital administrators and chief nursing officers to present and discuss the work from their institutions with colleagues from around the world.

Poster Presentation

  • A traditional poster session is a single abstract presentation of research or evidence-based information by an individual or representatives of research teams with an academic or professional focus. The work is peer-reviewed and presented on a large, usually printed placard, bill, or announcement, often illustrated, that is posted to publicize. It can also be a visual display of completed or in-progress work.
