PRE-CONVENTION CO-SPONSORED WORKSHOP SUBMISSIONS

Workshop Sponsorship Guidelines

Submission Criteria

Successful applications will include:

  • Program objectives, program description, and delivery method (e.g., panel presentation, etc.).
  • Speaker names and statement demonstrating expertise on proposed topic including contact information and education.
  • Intended audience.
  • Projected number of attendees based on past history and/or marketing research (if available).
  • Signed Participant Agreement Form and Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form as required by the American Nurses Credentialing Center policies and guidelines for the delivery of continuing education content as required by Sigma Theta Tau International.

Sigma Theta Tau International Responsibilities

As part of the event administration responsibilities, Sigma Theta Tau International will provide:

  • Appropriate meeting space and room set-up for up to 100 workshop attendees.
  • Audiovisual equipment and appropriate technical support.
  • Four (4) complimentary registrations for co-sponsor to allocate as needed.
  • Online workshop registration.
  • Onsite workshop registration.
  • Marketing of workshop to the honor society’s 135,000 active members.
  • Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits to attendees including the provision of evaluation, certificates, file maintenance, etc.
  • Lunch and morning and afternoon beverage breaks for full-day workshops or a beverage break half-day workshops.

Co-Sponsor Responsibilities

As part of its responsibilities, the co-sponsor will provide:

  • Coordination of onsite meeting arrangements with honor society staff.
  • Publicity of program in collaboration with Sigma Theta Tau International including coordination and mutual approval of collateral materials.
  • $4,000* co-sponsorship fee for half-day workshop; $5,000* sponsorship fee for full-day workshop.
  • Pre-program planning and program delivery including speaker(s) honoraria, travel and accommodations; print and electronic presentation materials; and electronic submission of conflict of interest from speaker(s), etc.
  • Promotion of the program to its members and/or publics above and beyond Sigma Theta Tau International marketing activities.

Co-Sponsor Recognition

As part of its responsibilities, the co-sponsor will provide:

  • Co-sponsors will receive wide pre-event recognition via print and electronic marketing and communications activities implemented to generate attendance and additional recognition via marketing activities directed toward the targeted workshop audience.
  • Co-sponsors will also receive onsite recognition in the event program and via appropriate workshop signage.
  • Co-sponsors will receive four (4) complimentary registrations to allocate as needed.
  • Pre-program planning and program delivery including speaker(s) honoraria, travel and accommodations; print and electronic presentation materials; and electronic submission of conflict of interest from speaker(s), etc.
  • Co-sponsors will receive recognition in all honor society print and electronic communications as follows:

  • Workshop Submission:

    • A workshop session is a half-day or full-day session. A “workshop” is defined as a topic-specific multi-presentation/multi-presenter continuing nursing education program providing one or more opportunities for participant interaction.
    • Applications will be submitted and peer-reviewed to assure the provision of quality programming within the mission of Sigma Theta Tau International.
