What is a Culture of Health? Population Health is old, but now it is all new again…, or is it?
Learn about the Culture of Health Framework and how to incorporate into your work. Learn to develop strategic thinking to find new allies to work with to build a Culture of Health. This four hour interactive workshop will immerse you in the latest thinking on what it means to make health a shared value and how to foster cross-sector collaboration to create more healthy and equitable communities. We will explore together how to strengthen the integration of Health Services and systems to improve population health, well-being and equity. Attendees will explore and discuss relevance of the Social Determinants of Health to population based health approaches and in overall healthcare reform.
Exemplars and case studies will be shared from across the country. We will engage participants in learning about the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Action Framework and Drivers. Attendees will learn how nurses are active in Culture of Health work and how to communicate more easily and effectively about critical aspects of population health principles and a Culture of Health overall.
