What is Congress?

Nearly 1,400 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders attended the International Nursing Research Congress this past week to learn from evidence-based research presentations.

Influencing Global Health Through the Advancement of Nursing Scholarship

Program objectives of the 28th International Nursing Research Congress:

  • Promote the transformation of knowledge and practice to advance global health and nursing.
  • Exchange ideas and solutions that promote the integration of technology into evidence-based nursing practice. 
  • Discuss research strategies to promote evidence-based teaching and learning that influences interprofessional environments.

International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) 2017
Pre-Conference: Global Perspectives on Doctoral Education in Nursing

26-27 July 2017

This day and a half pre-conference will feature noted educators from around the globe as well as faculty and student presentations, posters, and interactive sessions to explore innovative models of doctoral nursing education that promote faculty and student scholarship worldwide as well as challenges, opportunities and future directions. Sessions will also highlight innovative approaches for enhanced international collaboration to promote access and capacity building for sustained quality doctoral education and post-graduation productivity. The Summer School will focus on the Careful Nursing Philosophy and Professional Practice Model© (Careful Nursing) as it is currently developed and used to guide practice. The philosophy and the four professional practice model dimensions will be addressed with particular attention to the models’ two central practice dimensions; Therapeutic Milieu and Practice Competence and Excellence.
