Application Information

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International’s Maternal-Child Health Nurse Leadership Academy Africa is a challenging, experiential learning program designed to develop and effectively guide nurses and midwives as they lead an interdisciplinary team to improve maternal-child health care outcomes. By enhancing the participants’ professional leadership development, this 18-month program improves maternal-child health outcomes through evidence based practice while influencing care delivery within a variety of settings that serve thousands of mothers and their children. The program uses a mentored model and will include nurses and midwives from Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, and Uganda.
If you are interested in becoming one of the young leaders of tomorrow mentored in this program, applications are available by contacting Esti Naude at or 27 (0) 12 333 1415.
