Reading the article about Helen Glass brings back many wonderful memories. As a fledging nurse from the US, I wound up travelling with my husband to Winnipeg. I worked as a Nurse Consultant with the Manitoba Association of Registered Nurses and went on to host the first Canadian National meeting Standards of Nursing Practice. I had the opportunity of consulting with Helen, as well some of her faculty (including Cynthia Cameron, Asst. Dean). It was a wonderful time in my life and to this day I treasure my contacts with the many Canadian nurses that I interacted with at the time. I can't think of a finer nurse to salute than Helen Glass. Thank you for capturing the special moments of her life. Deidre M. Blank, RN, DSN, FAAN
