Accelerate Your Career in Nursing shows how strategic education choices can advance nursing careers
New STTI book helps nurses make the most of educational offerings
INDIANAPOLIS – How does a nurse choose the best path from among a myriad of degrees, certifications, honors and achievements?
Accelerate Your Career in Nursing, published by the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), shows nurses how to strategically decide which of these opportunities best match their goals and interests in order to achieve professional advancement. Authors Janice Phillips, PhD, RN, FAAN, and Janet M. Boivin, BSA, BA, RN, use their academic, professional and health care experiences to provide a blueprint for taking strategic advantage of the wide range of opportunities now available to nurses.
“Accelerate Your Career in Nursing spells out how nurses can recognize and document their accomplishments and then use them to advance within health care. Our ultimate goal is that this book will give nurses the credentials they need to earn a place at the health care table, in whatever setting that may be,” said Boivin.
The book also helps nurses and nursing students improve their verbal and written communications when seeking committee appointments, admission into graduate programs, running for office, or other such advancements.
