STTI CEO Patricia Thompson Retiring in December 2017
STTI Chief Executive Officer Patricia E. Thompson, EdD, RN, FAAN, has announced that she will retire from the organization effective in December 2017. We want you to be informed before you see information about a search firm seeking applicants for the CEO position, which will begin before the end of 2016.
Pat’s 10-year tenure as CEO has been one of unprecedented global expansion and influence during which STTI has built upon its reputation of excellence in nursing. She is leaving the organization financially sound and well poised for continued excellence into the future.
The Patricia E. Thompson Giving Circle, in support of the Global Nursing Research Fund, has been created at Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation for Nursing in honor of Pat’s commitment to advancing nursing knowledge around the world and STTI’s global growth during her decade as CEO. The US $220 donations to the giving circle will make possible an annual US $10,000 Global Nursing Research Grant. Every giving circle donor will receive one ticket to a reception in honor of Pat on 30 October 2017 during the 44th Biennial Convention and be recognized for his or her donation. Make your donation today to the Patricia E. Thompson Giving Circle or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Congratulations, Pat, on 10 fruitful years leading STTI!
