STTI's International Awards for Nursing Excellence are conferred to nurses for contributions in the fields of technology, media, chapter excellence, research, leadership, and practice. 2017 International Awards will be presented during STTI’s 44th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, from 28 October – 1 November 2017. STTI Chief Executive Officer Search
As previously announced, STTI Chief Executive Officer Patricia E. Thompson, EdD, RN, FAAN, will retire from the organization effective in December 2017.
We are being assisted in this effort by the search firm Spencer Stuart and have the highest hopes for a diverse set of top candidates. You can help. Read the detailed job description here. Now Accepting Resolutions
The Resolutions Advisory Council invites you to submit resolutions to be considered for presentation at the House of Delegates during the 44th Biennial Convention in 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
Resolutions are used as a commendation to recognize individuals for their service to STTI and/or to make an official position statement on issues affecting the society.
The advisory council will accept proposed resolutions until 28 April 2017. Resolution topics must be international in scope; congruent with the society’s bylaws, mission, and vision; pertinent to the goals and initiatives of the society; and financially feasible. The Baxter International Foundation’s Episteme Award acknowledges a major breakthrough in nursing knowledge development that has resulted in a significant and recognizable benefit to the public.
The Baxter International Foundation generously provides a US $15,000 stipend to the award recipient. In the tradition of the Nobel Prize, The Episteme Award is presented to a person or team for highly significant research. The Episteme Laureate will be the keynote speaker at convention.
