Congratulations to STTI's Journals!

We're pleased to share that the Journal of Nursing Scholarship (JNS) and Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing (Worldviews) have both increased their Impact Factors and rankings in the recently released 2016 Journal Citation Reports® published by Thomson Reuters! The Impact Factor is a measure of the average number of citations a journal has received each year over the past three years (higher Impact Factors indicate a higher number of citations). The average impact factor among nursing journals in 2016 was 1.313.

JNS, edited by Susan Gennaro, RN, PhD, FAAN, has increased its impact factor to 2.396 and improved its ranking to sixth among the 116 nursing journals in the Nursing (Science) category. This continues a trend of improving both areas consistently over the past five years.

Worldviews, edited by Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/ PMHNP, FNAP, FAAN, similarly increased its impact factor to 2.103 while improving its ranking to 11th among the 116 nursing journals in the Nursing (Science) category. Like its sister publication, Worldviews has also improved in both areas since 2012.

Congratulations to Drs. Gennaro and Melnyk for this significant accomplishment! Both journals are available as member benefits on the web or through their dedicated mobile apps.
